Ken Vandermark is one of my 'big five' and this new(ish) project (four albums now) is already shaping up to become somewhat definitive. I try not to use superlatives to describe music I find it necessary to your well-being to listen to but sometimes you have to admit it's the only way to go: a brilliant diamond in the dust.
